Felicity Jones, an British actress best recognized for her performance in Jane Hawking in The Theory of Everything (a critically well-reviewed film), is one of the most famous British actors. Jones began her acting career at age of 12 and was a part of numerous TV shows, plays and movies. Her career began with the television film The Treasure Seekers. She then played Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch, and the sequel Weirdsister college. Her first feature film Flashbacks of a Fool (which she was a part of), Young Ruth, she continued to act in various other movies. She gained popularity for her role in films including The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Her role as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything earned her an Oscar nomination for her first time. Jones was praised by both critics and audiences for portraying Hawking's former wife for The Theory of Everything, a Stephen Hawking biopic. She was then seen in Inferno an action film starring Tom Hanks. It was the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles gave Jones the British Artist of the Year in 2016 for her remarkable talents and contributions to the cinema.
